picturesque hideaway located on the pristine Kosgoda Beach

Hiru Beach (Garden Beach)

The picturesque hideaway is located on the pristine Kosgoda Beach. The gentle sea noise is your constant companion, whether it is during your yoga lessons in the morning or during dinner in our restaurant. The small coast town Kosgoda is situated between Bentota and Ambalangoda and is associated with the farming and planting of cinnamon as well as the artisanal practice of fishing. Kosgoda is especially known for its project promoting the protection of sea turtles, which is operated by the Wildlife Protection Society of Sri Lanka. It was founded in 1988 to protect the endangered species from extinction. In addition, in close proximity of the resort is probably the only moonstone mine in the world, where blue moonstones can be found.

Magnificent Sea View from Every Room

The ten lovingly designed guest rooms are divided into 9 spacious standard rooms (approx. 30m2and one large suite, measuring approximately 60 square meters. Each room has its own bathroom, hair dryer, safe, air conditioning, ventilator, telephone, and free WIFI. Additionally, the large suite on the third floor has a spacious living area, a large bathroom with a bathtub, a gallery with two sleeping areas and a large balcony. All of our rooms at Hiru Beach have a sea view.

In addition to the pleasant color concept of the resort, the combination of colonial elements with objects of traditional Ceylonese art is especially captivating to the eye of the observer. The palm trees and the swimming pool are very inviting and offer plenty of space for contemplation. For further relaxation, we provide you with spacious common rooms, a seaside yoga pavilion, and a small library. Guests can enjoy Ayurvedic meals in the restaurant overlooking the pool and garden.

Ayurveda-Doctors and Professional Therapists

Enjoy your daily treatments in our Ayurveda-centre on the first floor. Our team of experienced therapists and qualified Ayurveda-physicians will take good care of you. Some of the lighter therapeutic treatments, such as an Ayurvedic foot or face massage and the flower bath, can also be administered in our beautiful garden.

Leisure Activities in Kosgoda

Despite the wide range of Ayurvedic treatments, you have enough time on your hands to relax or take part in a variety of activities outside the resort. We recommend visiting one of the nearby villages, Kalutara or Beruwela, or you can take a short boat or island trip. We will gladly provide you with further information about all the various activities and help you with the organisation of your excursions.
