Hiru Mudra
This Hiru Ayurveda Resort opened in August of 2017 and its name is inspired by the symbolic hand gesture „Mudra.“ The gesture is used during religious practice or in dance and yoga and is a Sanskrit term, translating to „what brings you joy.“
The resort is located in the small village of Induruwa, South of Bentota. The village has not yet been exploited by tourism, and thus offers endless and almost deserted beaches – the perfect getaway for some peace and quiet or taking a long beach walk.
Directly Located on the Dreamlike Beach
The three-story building has 11 rooms and its location is directly on the idyllic beach. Each room has a balcony directed to the sea. The spacious rooms (approx. 34m2) each have their own shower/bathroom, hair dryer, telephone, safe, ventilator, air conditioning, mosquito net, and free WIFI.
The roof terrace, located on the third floor of the house, invites you to linger, offering additional relaxation areas and a breath-taking view of the ocean. The lounge area, a small library, and the restaurant are well designed and lovingly decorated. You can also take a well-deserved break from everyday life in the enclosed tropical garden by the beach.
Enjoy the freshly and individually prepared Ayurvedic cuisine in our restaurant with a cosy atmosphere.
The unique taste of our offerings is born from the rich produce of Hiru Agriculture and our very own garden.
Every ingredient is grown with care and dedication, ensuring the freshest, most flavorful experience for our guests.

Things to do?
During your Ayurvedic treatment, our expert doctors recommend keeping excursions to a maximum of one full day or, more commonly, half-day trips to maintain your restorative focus. Our friendly, German or English-speaking Guest Relations professionals will guide you through these enriching experiences, ensuring your comfort and ease.
For example, you can explore the vibrant Vegetable Market, visit the serene Kande Viharaya Temple, experience the bustling Fishing Harbour, or wander through the stunning Brief Garden, designed by renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa. These excursions, just minutes away, offer a perfect balance of cultural immersion and relaxation, complementing your Ayurvedic journey while keeping the spirit of rejuvenation intact.
